PRAYER
FOR MY CHILDREN:-
PRAYER 10, by Major
Joy Emmons, Portsmouth Corps USA East.
Our daughter-in-law had
tried unsuccessfully to conceive a child for five years.
Finally the announcement came in October that she was
indeed with child. As a family they had carved five
pumpkins and put one inside of the other asking us to
guess where the sixth pumpkin was (counting their two
Rottwilers as part of the family) and our first
grandchild, Skyler Joy. [click

They Love Him More
-
By JuanGalloway
Obviously as Christians we’re not in a contest with
others to see who can love God more, but if you’re like
me you really want to learn from those who love God more
than you. Is there anything more important than loving
God? Who are these great giants of faith that we need to
open our ears to so that we can follow in their
footsteps? Look no farther than the gutter. [click

Touching Testiomony from Austin Nicholas (Bromsgrove Corps,
UK)
With God on my side and with the
light of Jesus shining like a torch ahead of me than I shall
not falter from the path of duty no matter how rough the
journey maybe.
God has a purpose for everyone, even if it doesn’t seem like
it. If you put all your faith in God then the way ahead will
be made clear, if you also pray to God and ask him then he
will guide you through the murky forest of the earth and
lead you to the deep ocean of love on the other side in
heaven.

“that
is above every name”—Jesus, Naming a baby can be a
daunting task. Couples typically wrestle with their own
preferences, not to mention pressure from parents and
grandparents. But Mary and Joseph had no choice about their
child’s name. The angel who appeared to Mary said about the
Son she would bear, “you are to give him the name Jesus, for
he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21):

Dream Army members farewell salute to
General John Larsson: When
the name of John Larsson is
mentioned in Salvation Army circles,
one could think of the man and his music – especially the many
full-length musicals composed with his co writer (General) John Gowans. On the other
hand, one might consider John Larsson and his writing for he
is author of a number of books. However, one cannot mention
the name of John Larsson and not speak of the man and his
mission! Indeed his own call to mission, his love for
mission and his charge to others to become involved in
Christian mission runs throughout his writing, his music and
his preaching...

Never
judge a book by its cover.
Now, being a
pastor with a strong desire to evangelize,
and coming from an entertainment and
theatrical background, I could relate to the
William Booth’s innovative style of evangelizing.

The Son
of Man Must be Lifted Up- General Shaw
Clifton’s Easter Message 2007
It
was to Nicodemus that Jesus spoke these words: “The Son
of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in
him may have eternal life” (John 3:14,15 NIV). Then
followed the famous, most often-quoted words in
Scripture from John 3:16: “For God so loved the world
that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

NEW YEAR
MESSAGE -
BREAD
FOR ALL -REALLY:
It was in 1978 that health administrators from around the
world gathered in Alma Ata and formulated the brave policy
that proclaimed ‘Health for All by the Year 2000’. Six years
have elapsed since then and still we need to make targets.
The words seem to have achieved little. So when I hear
someone saying ‘Bread for All’, I wonder whether it can be
achieved, really.

A touching
testimony......
I
got saved about two and a half years ago. God was clearly
speaking to me and drawing me to Himself and I didn't even
know it. I always had a longing to know God, and even as a
child I remember praying and sitting for hours contemplating
God and sensing Him being real. However, the God that was
represented to me through my Catholic upbringing was not the
God I know today.......please read this touching testimony
