Welcome to the
Salvation Army Pakistan
Territory
In brief: The Salvation
Army began work in Lahore in
1883 and incorporated under the
Companies Act of 1913 on the 9th
of October 1968. In 1883,
Commissioner Fredrick
Booth-Tucker asked Captain
Victoria Roberts if she could
open Lahore. She and her
assistants Lt Webb (from
Madras), Lt Macintosh (Armenian)
and Mr Johnson with one arm went
and started working just outside
near the entrance of the "Delhi
Darwaza".
In 2008, The Salvation Army will
be celebrating 125 years in
Pakistan.
