BANGLADESH COMMAND In brief: Work in Bangladesh commenced as a relief operation following a severe cyclone in 1970. on 21 April 1980 the Army was incorporated under the Companies Act of 1913. Bangladesh was upgraded to command status on 1 January 1997.
