"Continuation"

• What do you think of this territory?
Good, very good, people are very respecful, very hospitable, and kind, there is much work!
Peru was very interesting, many greetings, one feels veru welcome. I haven’t known the north of Chile, Bolivia and Ecuador.

• What can you tell us about your expectations?
Well, what happened when I arrived here was the change of the Administrative System of the Headquarter, that transforms the old system in a Cabinet System, other form of Territory. The idea began before I came to Chile, but now I have to organize and put everything to work on its place.
It is something new in the administration of West Territory of Soth America.
It is a challenge to change the way of thinking, even the way to delegate responsibilities.

• Talking about other topic, where do you think you will be in ten years more?
I have no idea, Salvation Army has many surprises, it is easier to think and remember saying “I never imagined I would be here”.
I have said: “I go where I am ordered to”, I can’t say anything to the Salvation Army, for example, “I don’t like that” or “I just want to go to that place”.
If I had done that, I wouldn’t have acquired the experiences I have lived, if I had ever said “no”.
“I go where I am ordered to”

• Playa Ancha Corps is a part of the Territory, how many times have you visited it?
I have gone twice in an official visit, but I went once on vacations with Captains Daily; they took me when you were celebratin Independence Day in your Corps, it has been 11 years from then.

• What do you think of Playa Ancha Corps... and its ministry?
Very interesting, I have talked about the Corps since I went there, it seems they have caught the vision of Discipleship Year, there are Meetings for Recruits, soldiers and Conerted, discipleship, work with Junior Soldiers (she was in an Open Air Meeting where she saw children working, delivering the War Cry).
I can see the Corps is very well organized, they are preparing people to work. We all have a ministry, if you don’t prepare people, it doesn’t work.
I see it very well, working.
Band es fabulous. I told some friends in Canada it could compete with the one of Mayor State of Canada.
What did they say? Well… maybe they don’t believe me. (laughs)

• An advice that you want to give to the Corps.
Continue with the Gospel, with discipleship; it is important to bring new persons, to lead persons, like the seed, for them not to fall betwwen the thorns or in the rocks, but to make good disciples.

• Your favourite verse?
“I can do everything through him who gives mestrength” Philippians 4:13
sometimes one feels weak to do the job well, but one knows God won’t ask us to do something we can’t do.

• Talking about our salvation, about eternal life... who would you like to meet in Heaven?
Interesting question!, I think there is going to be a long line to talk with William Booth, so I will later talk to him (laughs).
Well, when I was a little child, I had a grandmother who died, so I don’t have much memories about her, I’d like to meet her, with my family and with persons I know I will see.

• What’s your favourite day of the week?
Wednesday, because there is council in the Headquarter, we do the job, take decisions. There choosen members meet, representatives of each department; we analize the topics of the territory, proposal, social work, properties, everything. It is a team, we meet a moment to make decisions, I like that. Well, I thought, you would say Friday, for the weekend, or not? (laughs).

It was very good to talk with Colonel, she is very nice and speaks Spanish very well, God bless her in her ministry and in her work, that is very much.
