Camp CONNRI
Camp CONNRI is a
non-profit Christian camp owned and operated by The
Salvation Army Southern New England Division. We offer
summer camp programs from the end of June through August.
Campers can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, develop
friendships, and participate in special events. Camp CONNRI is the place for YOU every summer! Camp
CONNRI is the BEST place for children to s
pend two or
three weeks of their summer. We offer over 15 different
activities from which campers get to CHOOSE!
Most importantly, camp builds character and values. Children
learn responsibility and cooperation at camp while gaining
independence and self-esteem. Our dynamic group of
counselors serve as positive role models for your child…
someone they can look up to who will encourage and care for
them.
Camp CONNRI – “The place you

Thank
you for your interest in Camp CONNRI! If you are a Christian
who loves kids, enjoys working with others, and loves to
have fun, then Camp CONNRI is the place for you! Our Camp
continues to provide a wonderful experience for campers and
staff, and is a place in which many friendships and memories
are created. Working with kids is such a valuable and
rewarding experience, a
nd working with staff from all over
the world makes for a very interesting, fun-filled
summer. Helping children develop a personal relationship
with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior is what we're all
about at Camp CONNRI, and we have a great time seeing God at
work every summer! So why not make Camp CONNRI your “home
away from home” this summer? It’s a decision that can
have a great impact on you and forever impact the life of a
child.
Information about Camp CONNRI
LOCATION:
Camp CONNRI is located in Ashford, CT,
approximately 30 miles east of Hartford, 80 miles from
Boston (1 and ½ hours driving), and 150 miles from New York
City (2 and ½ hours driving).
STAFF: We have approx 75 on staff, about 1/4 of which are from other countries, which gives our camp a very interesting and lively atmosphere! Staff range in ages from 14 to 25+.
JOBS: All camp staff are
expected to participate in the Total Camping Program, which
includes, but is not limited to the following: Attend and
participate in daily Chapel Programs, Evening Programs, and
weekly Lord’s Day Worship Service. Sit with campers at all
programs and in dining hall as scheduled. Participate in
weekly Staff Bible Study.
CAMPERS: Each session we will have about 160 - 180 campers, staying in cabins in the woods. Campers are usually low-income, inner-city children, ages 7-13.
We are a member of the CCCA - The Christian Camp and Conference Association - formally known as CCI/USA The Association of Christian Camp and Conferences. We also follow the accreditation standards of ACA (American Camping Association).
The Camping Ministry of The
Salvation Army has made a profound impact on the lives of
many young people. However, The Salvation Army could not do
it without the help of Christ-like young people who offer
themselves over to a summer of serving God by serving
children.
