For the Bridge Builders
FOR THE BRIDGE BUILDERS
God bless each of you richly! of all
the things you learn in your time in training, learn to view
each person with whom you come in contact, rich or poor, healthy
or infirm, educated or illiterate, capable or handicapped, as a
beautiful and much loved creation of our Father God. Keep this
always in view, so that the "wants" of clients and the attitudes
of others in your own sphere of influence doesn't harden your
heart. Teach them the truth of the gospel. Help them learn how
to make a life for themselves, how to budget, how to seek out
ideas and skills that will help them become better parents.
Never let the love of Christ be unmentioned - let it shine in
your attitudes and in your words. Be real, and who God created
you to be, not just another walking uniform that looks, acts and
sounds like everyone else. God created you specifically as who
you are, and then he gifted you with the things HE chose for you
to have. Never let someone judge that and always be faithful in
using your gifts for His kingdom here on earth. Get to know the
Holy Spirit in a real and personal way. Love Him and learn from
Him. Be prepared for changes and surprises. Welcome them. Never
allow pride to creep in with your accomplishments - they are not
yours, but God's. Never allow pride to keep you from admitting
when you have been wrong or to seek out counsel to improve your
spiritual life and your ministry. Pick your battles. Remember
that you may only be there to plant the seed and that some other
one will harvest it. Plant the seed. Water it. And if it is your
privilege to harvest, let not one slip through your fingers. DHQ
is not the enemy, nor are other officers or soldiers or board
members. They never will be. Remember that. And remember when
God's people judge each other, condemn each other and take
action against each other, our REAL enemy sits back and laughs
as he accomplishes his own will and thwarts God's. Practice
unity of spirit and purpose. Learn from your mistakes and accept
humbling. Enjoy Scriptural holiness and pray for the "Fire". Be
radical in your witness for Christ. Do whatever it takes to
reach the lost and to grow the saints and to serve suffering
humanity. Go the extra mile, whatever the cost. God must be your
life in order for your ministry to bear fruit that lasts. Boast
in what God accomplishes in your own life and in your
appointments - rejoice over it, but give the credit to God. Feed
on God's word. Stay away from compromise. Do not look and linger
on evil. Reach out and snatch others out of it. Love God! I
remain, your prayer warrior. Hallelujah...!!
You are to build bridges across
gender, illiteracy, poverty and above all the sin that is putting man at
enmity with God.
