Salvation Army meetings don’t have a set order of service.
The style of worship has a certain degree of structure, but largely encourages freedom of expression, and regular participation by the congregation - individually by praying, giving personal testimony, reading from the Bible or presenting a musical contribution - and corporately by singing hymns or the united reading from the Bible.
The songster brigade (choir), senior band, junior band, or singing company (junior choir) are used regularly. Occasionally a dance or drama group may be used to help with the worship. Verses from the Bible are read in every meeting.

While an officer usually leads the meeting and gives the ‘address’ (sermon), other people can do both or may be invited to take part by praying, reading out verses of hymns or from the Bible, or by talking about their Christian experience.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend the services held at The Salvation Army on Sundays. Worship services are attended by a cross-section of society. In a meeting you will find all kinds of people worshipping God, from the very young right through to the elderly.
You don't have to wear a funny hat or a uniform to worship at the Salvation Army ! Come and join us.
