Hotline Volunteers man the phones.
Our EDS (Emergency Disaster Services) team includes the many volunteers at manning the telephones on the Hotline at 1-800-SAL-ARMY. Through out the country, volunteers take turns at answering questions, making referrals, counseling those in distress, accepting donations, etc.
Connie on the left helps by speaking Spanish with those in need. Jerry on the right is our Territorial Disaster Services Director (For the Midwest).
Some volunteers deal with volunteer requests, information on missing friends and families, and even handle donations to help with this relief effort.
For those who looking for missing friends and family, our
SATERN (Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network)
team offers assistance. Click on their Site, and fill out the "Health and Welfare Information Request Form."
