Steinslands On The Move

June 2007—Majors Kjell and Vicki Steinsland, Commanding Officers of the Aurora Salvation Army are being transferred to St Louis. The Steinslands were appointed the Corps Officers and Kroc Administrators just one year ago. “With us not getting the Kroc Grant, our Headquarters decided it would be appropriate to make a change at this time,” says Major Kjell Steinsland. As of June 27th the Steinslands will take up their assignments in St Louis, MO, at The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters where they assume their roles as Divisional Youth Secretaries. “We are looking forward to this new challenge,” says Major Steinsland, “it will give us an opportunity to work with the youth and youth leaders in Missouri and southern Illinois. This includes directing divisional/regional youth camps during the summer months at The Salvation Army’s Camp Mihaska.

The replacements for the Steinslands are Majors Robert “Tony” and Char Hall. The Halls come to Aurora after serving in Anderson, IN for the past five years. The Halls will report for their command of the Salvation Army of Aurora on June 27th.
